The Equilizers are a new equine hydrotherapy and rehabilitation facility for horses in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear.

Based in the picturesque village of Ulgham, only minutes from the A1 and just 6 miles from the historic market town of Morpeth, we are readily accessible to provide the treatment needed to keep your horse fit, healthy and enjoying life.

Unfortunately injuries do occur and we appreciate only too well the anxiety that this causes. As owners ourselves, we understand that there is a desire to do the very best for your horse. We have found equine treatment very limited locally, meaning the need to travel long distances to access these services and often at a substantial cost. That is why The Equilizers have decided to give horse owners in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear the chance to have their very own centre which provides great value for money for the quality of service provided.

Having invested substantially in the facilities at Ulgham Lane, we are proud to be able to supply only the very best equipment. The equine spa has been supplied by market leaders ECB Equine, who have a record second to none in returning injured horses back to full fitness. Similarly we will have an ongoing programme of improvements designed to keep us ahead of the pack in the hydrotherapy and rehabilitation market

The Equilizers are based at The Croft Stables, on Ulgham Lane. Please see the map detailed to the left. As a responsible company, we must have due consideration for the local community, countryside and environment. As a consequence, all traffic visiting the centre MUST use the unclassified road from Fenrother on the A1 or the B1337 from Longhirst and Widdrington only. On no account should traffic approach the centre from the other end of Ulgham Lane via the railway crossing and Wildlife Sanctuary. This is because Ulgham Lane is unsuitable for large vehicles and horseboxes when travelling in that direction.
